Brooklyn Standard is a basement bar in Brisbane, Queensland, built around a New York-inspired theme. It serves cocktails and hosts live bands playing blues, funk and soul. n
The venue’s focus is the combination of a intimate, low-lit basement setting with live music programming rather than a broad food-and-drinks offering. Compared with large nightclubs or generic pubs, the emphasis sits on the room, the music and a cocktail-led drinks list. Opening hours extend into the early hours on Thursday to Saturday, which suits later-night crowds who want a set or two after dinner.
n
Brooklyn Standard holds a 4.5 out of 5 rating from 1,578 Google reviews, a sample size that gives a reasonably reliable picture of general visitor experience. Visitors should expect a compact, atmospheric space that can fill up on live nights, so arriving early or booking ahead on weekends is sensible. Hours are Monday to Wednesday from 6pm to midnight, Thursday from 6pm to 1am, Friday from 5pm to 3am, Saturday from 6pm to 3am, and the venue is closed on Sundays.
